Thanksgiving Anyone?

The last couple of weeks were, well, eventful, but not all in a good way. Just gonna share a few highlights.

  • Good News: Thursday, November 12: Guys from Bay Landscaping started the riverside job.
  • Bad News: Sunday, November 15: We had a power outage. Janice was still visiting. A neighbor with power plugged us into his power so we had heat and refrigeration. I guess he's a good guy after all! Thank God for good neighbors. 🙏
  • Monday, still no power. Proposed time for repair postponed to next day. Bummer! Janice went home; we ordered dinner from a restaurant (remember Covid? We are old. Keep distances etc.) It was great. Decided to watch tv with the neighbor plugin. Voila! Our power returned. 💕
  • Wednesday November18: I fell...hard! Results: a big purple big toe, purple knee (remember knee surgeon instructed me to NEVER kneel on them), extremely sore shoulder and, tahdah! a black eye! No i didn't break a bone and fall (the usual reason for people my age) I actually stubbed my toe and fortunately didn't break anything. Thank you God. 🙏
  • Friday the 20th, yard by the river is sure looking good!
  • Today? Praying for no more "bad luck."
  •  Thanksgiving? Cooking a turkey. Janice has proven"safe" so far, so we're sharing with her. Making room in the freezer for leftovers. 💕🙏💕
